Dorcas: And I guess, I'm also curious about, like, as an older person, we don't really talk about sexual pleasure and women over a certain age.

Michelle: Okay, so postmenopausal women, yeah.

D: How have you — How's that experience been for you?

M: Oh, menopause? Well, it's made my sort of, it's changed my libido and desire. But then I do think one of the things I feel really sad about is losing the amazing — my son's probably listening to all of this, it's going to get [inaudible] — but one of the things that I find sad is losing the amazing clitoris and, you know, all that [it’s] capable of because the clitoris is amazing. Like the whole kind of stimulation of your body. And, you know, that capacity. I'm frightened of losing that. Because what happens is your vagina thins, the wall thins, and you have to use lubricants in a way that you never did. And it happens really quick. So I remember I had my last period when I was 57. And then in about six months, I noticed changes in my skin. And I still occasionally get changes of heat and stuff. So, you know, menopause takes a long time, it takes ten years apparently. I did notice a change in my skin, but also the elasticity of my vagina. So penetrative sex becomes less like, it's not like, you have to have lubricants and stuff, so that's a shame. But you know, clitoral stimulation, [is] still a goer. And I do actually, when I'm bored or tired at the office, I will have — when I'm in the middle of writing — I will have a wank break, just to recalibrate, which I'll have to do very quietly, because it's an office full of lots of people. Like, you know, I have my own studio. And you don't want to be too noisy through the walls. But there's this funny thing where you think, ‘Okay, well, for my sexual health, I should be doing this regularly anyway.’

D: I love that. Yeah, normalise having a wank break at work. Why not?
